Hanzon Japanese Acupuncture & Shiatzu was founded in 2003 by Katz Kawamura. Katz is a fully qualified Acupuncturist, Moxicauterist and Shiatsu Massage Therapist with 8 years’ experience in Japan and 10 years’ experience here in Sydney.

Katz is also an accredited Acupuncturist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and an accredited Acupuncturist and shiatsu therapist with ATMS (Australian Traditional Medicine Society).

Katz treats lower back, neck, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder and RSI (and many other aches and pains). He also treats female problems such as period pain, PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome) and difficulty falling pregnant. In the past 3 years, he has given acupuncture to 20 women during the course of their IVF (InVitroFertilisation) cycle. Of those, he is pleased to say 17 had successful outcomes. A success rate of 85%!

Acupuncture & shiatsu massage are traditional natural therapies that work on particular body points to relieve blockages and stimulate blood flow. Whereas acupuncture involves the use of fine, disposable needles, shiatsu relies on finger and hand pressure to provide relief.
